Uncompromising Safety & Full Regulatory Compliance
Your Safety is Our Highest Priority
In the world of ultra-luxury travel, true peace of mind comes from knowing every detail has been meticulously addressed. At Raja Ampat Luxury Charter, we operate in full compliance with Indonesia’s Law No. 17 of 2008 concerning Shipping and international ISM (International Safety Management) codes. Our parent company, Juara Holding Group, mandates a culture of safety that includes a minimum of two comprehensive safety drills per charter, from our vessel captains to our shoreside operations team.
Corporate & Regulatory Compliance
We are a fully legal and transparent PT PMA (foreign investment company) registered with the Indonesian Ministry of Law and Human Rights, ensuring our clients and partners are protected. This legal standing is backed by a comprehensive $10 million public liability insurance policy, offering an additional layer of security for all guests.
- Legal Entity: We operate as a registered Indonesian company (Perseroan Terbatas – PT) with all necessary permits.
- Tourism License (SIUP Pariwisata): We hold a valid, top-tier tour operator license from the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism (Kemenparekraf), authorizing us to conduct charter operations.
- Tax Compliance (NPWP): We are a registered taxpayer in Indonesia, contributing to the national economy and operating with full financial transparency.
- Employee Welfare (BPJS): All our Indonesian employees, both crew and office staff, are fully insured under the national social security (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) and health programs (BPJS Kesehatan), as mandated by law.
Maritime Safety & Vessel Certification
Our fleet is maintained and operated to a standard that exceeds local requirements, undergoing mandatory annual class surveys by the Biro Klasifikasi Indonesia (BKI). Every vessel also completes a full dry-docking for hull and systems inspection at least once every 24 months, ensuring optimal performance.
- Vessel Seaworthiness: Every vessel in our curated fleet holds a valid Certificate of Seaworthiness (Surat Kelaiklautan Kapal) issued by the Indonesian Directorate General of Sea Transportation (DJPL) and undergoes regular, rigorous inspections.
- International Safety Management (ISM) Code: Our operations adhere to the principles of the ISM Code, ensuring a systematic approach to safety management and pollution prevention.
- Crew Certification (STCW): All our deck and engine crew are certified under the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW). Our captains hold high-level Indonesian Master Mariner licenses (ANT I/II).
- Navigation & Communication: Each vessel is equipped with redundant, state-of-the-art navigation systems (GPS, Radar, AIS, Depth Sounders) and communication equipment, including VHF/SSB radios and satellite telephones for constant contact, even in the most remote areas.
- P&I Club Insurance: All vessels are covered by comprehensive, international Protection and Indemnity insurance, providing liability coverage that meets global standards.
Emergency Preparedness & Response
We plan for every contingency to ensure the safety of our guests and crew, maintaining a standing agreement for medical evacuation services with a target response time of under 4 hours to Sorong. All our vessels are equipped with automated external defibrillators (AEDs) and maintain a 24/7 satellite link to a shore-based physician.
- Emergency Response Plan (ERP): We have a detailed ERP for all foreseeable scenarios, including medical emergencies, mechanical issues, and severe weather. Drills are conducted regularly.
- Medical Support: Our vessels are equipped with extensive medical kits, defibrillators, and therapeutic oxygen. All senior crew are certified in advanced first aid and CPR. We have a 24/7 on-call relationship with medical evacuation services for immediate response if required.
- Real-Time Tracking: Our entire fleet is monitored via GPS tracking from our operations base, providing real-time location data at all times.
Our meticulous approach to safety is a cornerstone of our service, beginning with a mandatory 30-minute vessel orientation and safety briefing for all guests upon boarding. It is a non-negotiable element, upheld by a crew where 100% of members hold STCW 2010 certification, allowing guests to immerse themselves in the beauty of Raja Ampat with absolute confidence.
